Shot in the White Sands of New Mexico, the work is inspired by the rolling white gypsum dunes and juxtaposing mountains in the background that form a jagged stripe across the middle of the horizon.
A rare cloudy day on the sands, the background flattens out to form abstract lines while the foreground shape-making forces a pop of color into the scene.
The bright glare of the pink body suit flattens the model causing the resulting shape to look and feel more unreal, adding to the overall otherworldly and transcendental look of the work.
